Unique Boots
This is a series of unique artworks created on a Dr. Martens Mono Boot, each of the pairs are drawn by hand by the artist.each boot is numbered, branded with "Martin Tardy" and the drawing includes the signature.
the artwork on the boots is always only available in the shoe size presented.
The Art Boots have to be seen as an art object, which can hang on the wall, stand on a stand, but they can also be worn, but be aware, like every other shoe, they get marks and other cosmetic scratches which may disturb you.
The artist wears pair Nr. 1 since months and they still look nice & he likes the natural marks coming after the time.
ABOUT the series:
Martin Tardy started to show his art in 2017 with his first solo exhibition in Vienna, but he draws since he is 3 years old, in 2012 he started a T-Shirt label which he then stopped right before he planed his first exhibition.
By being so close to fashion/print etc. for over five years, gave him the thought that he shouldn't mix art & fashion, but now five years later he really wanted to know how his favorite white boots may look like with his lines, he did it, he wore the shoes and every time he goes out somewhere in those, he gets compliments, requests etc. which made him decide to share this object with you, and create a numbered series of unique boots.
